I stopped by today to get my tablet repaired. In our conversation I mentioned to Chris that I hadn't had the tablet quite a year yet. He reminded me there is a one year warranty. I called the company I received the tablet from and sure enough it was still in warranty. Now I'm getting a new tablet replacement for a small fee, much less than repairs or a new tablet.
